Post-GenCon Reflections

So, I have recently returned from my time at GenCon 2014. It was a wonderful trip, during which I ran several sessions of Edge of the Empire for FFG, each for a wonderful and friendly group of people. That was probably the highlight of my con, and I hope to be able to do it again next year. Also on the list of highlights is finally being able to talk about Force and Destiny, the third Star Wars role-playing game. I did the adventure in the back of the beta book that was available at the convention, and I hope anyone who runs through it has as much fun playing the scenario as I had writing it.

I met a lot of new people, and reconnected with a number of familiar faces, and had a great time overall. I owe a special thanks to Fantasy Flight Games for the opportunity to run events for them. I also saw a ton of new games, and am excited about pretty much all of them. I’m probably most excited for Star Wars: Armada and Warhammer 40,000 Conquest, but after seeing the Warmachine: Tactics demo, I’m quite excited to plug in my Steam key for that as well–and too many others to easily list.

That’s all my immediate thoughts on the con, but as I manage to recover from the hustle and bustle, I may post more if they occur to me. Thanks for reading!
